Dr Simon Dunn, Alun Griffiths will be talking about their experiences on various schemes associated with Metrobus and how different types of contract permitted different approaches to Stakeholder Engagement along with best practice and lessons learnt.

As Regional Manager for Alun Griffiths (Contractors) Ltd in the South West Simon Dunn's responsibilities include developing and managing the Business within the region following the establishment of a Regional Office in Bristol. Current projects include multiple sections on the Metrobus Scheme in Bristol including South Bristol Link, Stoke Gifford Transport Link, Bradley Stoke Way, Coldharbour Lane and Hartcliffe Way.

The regional team are also delivering multiple varying size projects across the South West and is continually expanding with over 250 staff and operatives currently delivering projects. Project delivery has stakeholder engagement and management at its core and ensuring that they leave a positive legacy of civil engineering is a key business deliverable.

Simon's background is largely in Contracting, however he has spent time in a Design Office with Halcrow, predominantly working within the Bridge Team. Additionally he completed a PhD in Sustainable Construction Materials, namely Self-Healing Concrete.

There will be an overview of the Stakeholder Engagement undertaken with examples of using digital technology including BIM to improve and enhance our approach.
