About this event

This presentation, based on experiences in Gloucestershire's Stroud valleys and Shropshire's Corve Dale, will look at the principles and different approaches that have been adopted, the techniques employed, the role of partnerships and the wider social and environmental benefits that NFM can deliver.

Our presenter, Brian Smith, is Environment Programme Advisor for the Environment Agency, and the technical lead on NFM in the West Midlands area. Brian has over 30 years experience of environmental river management and community engagement and is a former trustee of the River Restoration Centre.
