About this event

We look forward to welcoming you to our Cheltenham & Gloucester City Club meeting. The Council Chamber is accessed from the rear of the main Shire Hall building, off the Councillors Car Park in Bearland. Go up the steps to the double doors. These will be open from 6pm.

David will draw on his 7 years experience at Hinkley C, delivering the first new reactor building to be built in the UK in a generation on schedule with 18M man hours and a spend of £6B. Taking into account Client, Principal Contractor and Design obligations, he will illustrate how to set up deliveries and manpower for the scale of works involving 1.4M man hours per month.

David moved to Heathrow earlier this year, preparing to deliver the new runway and all associated infrastructure for a value circa £16B. Although the master plan is still at the consultation stage, he will be in a position to share consistencies and lessons learnt on both programmes.
