About this event

We at the RCEA-Midlands are thrilled to welcome Metro Programme Director Phil Hewitt in front of our audience to discuss how the Midland Metro project is going to improve connectivity between West Midlands conurbations and link with upcoming major infrastructure works.

Having opened in 1999, the Metro has now been extended to Birmingham New Street station, and various expansions are currently planned to be delivered in the coming years. This lecture will explore the contribution that this light rail scheme will make to the transformation of the West Midlands. This lecture is not to be missed for anyone interested in this rail scheme and its interface with the rest of our built environment.
