The next AGM and gathering of the ICE Swiss Branch is scheduled for 7 October.
As per the previous editions, the idea is to combine a visit to a Swiss site of engineering interest, a short Annual General Meeting, and a meal with time to catch up and get to know each other better.
For this autumn, the Swiss Committee organised a presentation and guided visit of the Mühleberg Nuclear Power Station in Berne, which is to be decommissioned from 2019 onwards. The subject couldn't be more timely, following the referendum of the last 21 May, that foresees the withdrawal of Switzerland from nuclear energy.
09:00 – Visit to the Mühleberg Nuclear Power Station
12:30 – Lunch at the Schiff am See in Morat
14:00 – AGM at the Schiff am See in Morat
15:30 – Farewell and return
Pre-registration is required because there are limited spaces available, to ensure you don't miss out please email Brendan Quigley before 7 September 2017.
