About this event

The 2017 Annual Awards Dinner will be held at the Hilton Blackpool Hotel, recognising excellence and imaginative concepts in civil engineering practice across the region.

All awards are announced live on the night to an audience including civil engineers, consultants, contractors, architects, major clients and local authority representatives.

There are eight award categories, covering exemplar engineering projects as well as outstanding contributions made by individual civil engineers:

  • Large Project (over £10m)
  • Medium Project (£0.5-10m)
  • Small Project (under £0.5m)
  • Community Award
  • Heritage Award
  • Diversity Award
  • Volunteer
  • Mentor

Our guest of honour, ICE President, Professor Tim Broyd BSc PhD CEng FREng FICE FRSA, will be speaking as well as handing out the coveted awards.

Dinner will be served at 7.30pm. Guests can arrive from 6pm onwards for the purchase of pre-dinner drinks and networking. Guests will be seated for dinner at 7.15pm.

Dress code for this event is black tie, although male graduates and students can wear lounge suits, if they wish to do so.
