Overview

Brought to you on behalf of ICE North Wales GSAT, this workshops for new engineers and technicians, working towards their qualified ICE membership will explore the knowledge level for the sustainable development attribute.     

The workshop will provide ideas and guidance for areas to explore for you to demonstrate the knowledge level for this attribute. There will be an overview of the attribute, opportunity for discussion as well as questions and answers.

By attending this workshop, you will gain a greater understanding of how you can demonstrate your knowledge of commercial ability to your SCE, DE or mentor.  You will be able to debate the attribute with your peers to increase your understanding of what it means in different roles or environments.  The session will increase your understanding of the attribute and methods for demonstrating the knowledge level for your IPD.

The format will be:
•    Introduction
•    IPD levels of achievement (K, E, Ai and Ac)
•    The link to the ICE Code of Conduct
•    Background information and learning/research hints

Stella Brookes

Stella has been an ICE member since 2015 when she gained EngTech membership. Stella joined the ICE Graduate, Student and Technicians Committee in 2018 and is a proactive and enthusiastic member.

Stella has more than 15 years’ experience working in civil engineering. She works as a Civil Engineer for Binnies UK Ltd, predominantly on wastewater treatment works. Previously, Stella has worked for local government, with experience in asset management, highways maintenance, site management, as well as surface and foul water drainage design. Stella completed a BEng Civil Engineering with a First Class (Hons) at the University of Bolton in 2018 and continued to complete an MSc Civil Engineering in 2021, also at University of Bolton. Stella is now working towards gaining Chartership.
