Overview
It is thought that 10% of the population is dyslexic. Despite this, dyslexia is not widely understood with many people not gaining access to the support that would benefit them.
This webinar aims to highlight dyslexia and explore the impact of dyslexia on people living with it, and the support that might be available to them.
During this webinar, delegates will explore:
- What is dyslexia?
- Positive dyslexia
- Understanding dyslexia
- Insight into what it feels like to be dyslexic
- Indicators of dyslexia in both children and adults
- Potential strengths and challenges in the workplace

Amanda Hornby
Since 2009, Amanda has been employed in the education sector, primarily focusing on secondary students with special needs.
She holds the title of a qualified specialist dyslexia tutor and is authorised to conduct assessments for exam access arrangements and visual discomfort screening.
Additionally, she has completed her training for her Assessor Practising Certificate and holds a Postgraduate Certificate Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEND).
Currently, she serves as a specialist dyslexia trainer at the British Dyslexia Association, where she provides bespoke training to various workplaces and educational institutions.
