A short AGM for the ICE Glasgow and West of Scotland branch will be followed by an address from its incoming chair for the 2024-2025 session, Nicola Bell on her career and thoughts for the future.

Doors will open at 17.45 for in-person guests with online attendance opening at 18.00.

Nicola Bell is an Incorporated Civil Engineer, with 24 years’ experience in the industry within Local Government, primarily in the Roads and Transportation Sector working on traffic management schemes, traffic signal and junction design, road safety improvements and more recently moving into a senior role, managing the team that keep Glasgow’s Transport Links running smoothly.

Maintaining Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) and the 900 sets of traffic signals on the network comes with challenges, Nicola will talk about some of the highlights in her career and how Glasgow is leading the way with AI deployment at traffic signals.
