Overview

This site visit to the HS2 project in London being constructed by BBVS Joint Venture has been arranged after a member of their site team recommended to our Thames Valley branch committee that visits were actively encouraged.

The Old Oak Common project is a complex of above and below ground works which will form the temporary termination in London, until the Euston Station works are authorised to commence.

The above ground works are progressing significantly to form the new High Speed 2 rail station where connections to Network Rail and TfL will be provided. This is the first of several visits that Thames Valley branch are organising to this site.  A maximum of 20 delegates can be accommodated in each visit, so please book early.

Using the old GWR Rail depot, the shafts to access tunnelling routes from adjacent sites are being hidden by the superstructure works. A future visit to these underground zones is being planned.

Please refer to the “How to find us” pdf in the Downloads section, which describes the walking routes from Willesden Junction on the Bakerloo line and the Central Line from East Acton tube station.

All delegates will have to complete the visitor booking form in the Downloads section ahead of the visit. Please fill in the form and send it to Kirsty Joyce at [email protected]
