Ricardo Bittini Miret

Ricardo, who is based in Spain and spent over 12 years in London, is a Chartered Engineer, a Fellow of the Institute of Civil Engineers (ICE), and a Civil and Structural Engineer by profession. Having completed challenging projects like the M50 highway in Dublin or the Terminal 3 Integrated Baggage Hall in Heathrow, he has more than 20 years of expertise in the infrastructure, construction, design, and engineering fields.

He served as the head of innovation and the head of digital collaboration for 7 years at Ferrovial, a significant infrastructure and construction firm, where he oversaw innovation, digital transformation, and BIM implementation on a global scale. He currently works as a business consultant for strategic engagements at Autodesk Consulting, assisting clients as they embark on their digital transformation journeys.

Ricardo has always been captivated by infrastructure, innovation, and how technology advances society, but his enthusiasm extends beyond these specific fields. He has held the position of the ICE BIM Action Group, the Building Room Coordination Leader of buildingSMART International, a patron of the Institute of Asset Management among others. He is constantly looking for ways to improve processes and share knowledge and best practices with other professionals in the field.

In addition to spending time with his family and networking with other professionals in the field, Ricardo likes to exercise, swim, play golf, tennis, read, and participate in conferences where he can.
