Overview

Manchester Town Hall was designed by Alfred Waterhouse in 1877. It is a Victorian, neo-Gothic building which sits in the heart of Manchester and is an iconic landmark in the city. It is one of the most important Grade I Listed buildings in England.

With a total project budget exceeding £330m, the Our Town Hall Scheme aims to transform Manchester Town Hall back to its former civic glory while securing the long-term future of the building, its civic role and external setting.

This project will repair internal and external deficits, while renewing building services and improving accessibility and visitor experience. It will also improve visitor access to the building and its historic treasures.

In this talk, hear from current project director for the scheme, Paul Candelent. Attendees will have the opportunity to ask Paul questions after his lecture.
