The ICE Ontario Committee is holding a workshop to discuss the importance and implementation of graduate training schemes for the career development of young graduate engineers, in support of their aspirations to become professional registered and members of the Institution.
The ICE is focused on the promotion and development of engineers as the future generations of professionals who will be at the heart of infrastructure development across our Region and internationally.
The aim of this workshop is:
- to assist employers deliberating how to implement structured training schemes for their engineers or looking to further their understanding of the value that structured learning can bring to their businesses.
- to help employers and individuals understand how a structured approach to achieving professional qualification can be beneficial.
- to engage with individuals who are currently undergoing ICE professional training or exploring opportunities to commence structured training as an essential part of their career development.
- to engage with universities’ and colleges’ engineering departments and students nearing the completion of their degree studies to explore the opportunities of a structured training scheme towards international and local professional certification.
As well as our local committee members, we will also be joined by our ICE membership manager, Michelle Cockburn who will lead discussions and be available to answer any questions that attendees may have.
Refreshments will be available and there will be opportunities for you to ask your questions about how the ICE can support your personal or organisational aims.
