Overview
The A9 project represents one of the largest infrastructure projects in Scotland's history and the talk will describe the current progress on the various design and construction phases and the challenges encountered.
This Transport Scotland project is to upgrade the A9 between Perth and Inverness to a dual carriageway standard by 2025. The scheme objectives include reducing journey times, improving journey time reliability, improve safety for motorised and non-motorised users by reducing accident severity, reducing driver stress and improve integration with Public Transport Facilities.
This £3bn complex and challenging infrastructure programme is one of the biggest investments in the Scottish Government's portfolio. The presentation will explain the work carried out so far and what is planned in the future phases of the project.
Registration and refreshments from 6.00pm for 6.30pm.
