Overview

The Embankment Dam

Due to the unfortunate cancellation of the 2020 conference, the BDS has decided to host a number of lunchtime webinars throughout September 2020 to showcase some of the papers we received in preparation for the conference.

There will be a session held every Monday starting on 7 September in the run up to our AGM meeting and virtual Binnie Lecture by John Gosden on 5 October 2020.

Within this session there are 4 papers that cover main safety aspects of an embankment dam. This includes flood routing/spillways, earthquake, internal erosion and slope stability.
