Overview
The vacuum sewerage network in Benone is one of only two examples of such systems in Northern Ireland. The Benone Vacuum Sewerage Upgrade Project commenced in Autumn 2018 and with work confined mainly to autumn/winter periods, it is due for completion in 2021. The project involves the upgrade and replacement of sections of the existing vacuum sewerage network including the construction of five new wastewater pumping stations.
Stephen Clarke, Doran Consulting Project Manager will provide an overview of the project development from feasibility and planning through to construction, highlighting the key design issues, benefits of early stakeholder engagement and early contractor involvement.
