Overview

Join us in celebrating over 40 years of bridge aerodynamics studies by one of the founders of Wind Engineering Society, Professor Tom Wyatt, who passed away at his family home on the 5th of January 2018.

Tom contributed to the design of some of the world's most famous long-span bridges, such as the Second Severn Crossing, Stonecutters Bridge, Replacement Forth Bridges and Messina Straights and many others. He also left a long-legacy through his contributions to the development of BS8100: Lattice towers and masts and BD49/01: Design Rules for Aerodynamic Effects on Bridges.
