Overview
The EWR 2 Alliance, is a true Alliance between Network Rail (Owner Participant) and Laing O’Rourke, Atkins and Volker Rail (non-owner participants). The Alliance has taken the scheme through the Network Rail “Governance for Rail Investment Process” (GRIP), option selection and outline design phase and are about to submit the Transport and Works Act Order and commence detailed design.
The presenters, who are leading members of the Alliance, will look to present the works that have been undertaken so far, and provide details on the Alliance structure and behaviours, the technical challenges and some of the solutions proposed and details of innovations that the project are looking to drive through the project. This includes the iconic Bletchley Viaduct, stations at Winslow and Bletchley High Level and real innovations in the use of BIM and construction.
