Overview
A joint online event with ICE NI and Engineers Ireland exploring the design, delivery, progress and challenges of the Edinburgh Trams to Newhaven Project.
The Edinburgh Trams to Newhaven Project is a continuation of the existing Edinburgh Tramway Network, which runs from Edinburgh Airport to York Place. The continuation runs from York Place, down Leith Walk and then into Newhaven via Ocean Terminal.
The current project construction is 4.6km with 60% shared on-street running which Sacyr Farrans Neopul (SFN) are delivering in conjunction with the project delivery team and associated contractor.
This presentation will set out how the project is being delivered, an update on progress with some background to the delivery strategy and collaboration with all the stakeholders. The presenters will then delve into more detail on some key design aspects, the project’s challenges and current construction.
