Join ICE, BGA and Cementation Skanska at One Great George Street on 6 December when the Fleming Award finalists will present their work and the judges will decide the winner for 2017.
The Fleming Award, instituted by Cementation Skanska in 2000, is given annually for geotechnical engineering excellence for industry projects.
This year's finalists are:
- Pines Hotel Cliff Stabilisation Scheme with project teams from CH2M, Raymond Brown Construction and The Pines Hotel
- Garrion Gill Slope Remediation with project teams from Network Rail Infrastructure Projects Scotland, QTS Group, COWI UK, Cementation Skanska and Datum Group
- The PISA Project with project teams from Oxford University, Imperial College London, DONG Energy, Carbon Trust and SOCOTEC UK (formerly ESG) representing the many companies involved in the project
The keynote address on groundwater control for excavations in Cork, Ireland will be given by Dr Toby Roberts, Chairman, WJ Groundwater Ltd.
The event will be followed by a complimentary drinks reception hosted by Cementation Skanska.
