Embedding learning to eliminate harm
ICE and Costain are both committed to be at the forefront of Knowledge Transfer on Health and Safety issues. That is why, we have joined forces and will be holding this annual lecture, to set standards, identify and promote best practice and advance the H&S agenda, across the board.
Similar to previous years, the lecture will be free to attend, open to Members and non-members, and it will be followed by a drinks reception for all and dinner for some of the guests.
We are all taking great strides to reduce the harm caused to our industries people, property and environment in the development, delivery and operation of infrastructure.
But do we truly get to the real learning from events and more importantly how effective are we at implementing and embedding that learning, to continually improve and really eliminate harm.
This years lecture will be co-chaired by ICE’s President Paul Sheffield and by Costain’s Chief Operating Officer Darren James, who will be joined by guest speakers:
- Professor Graham Braithwaite, Professor of Safety and Accident Investigation at Cranfield University
- Professor Andrew Sharman, President of IOSH and Managing Partner of RMS, Professor of Leadership & Safety Culture at the European Centre for Executive Development
