300,000 people with long-term mental health problems lose their jobs each year, while poor mental health costs employers up to £42bn a year.

In the construction industry alone, one in four workers consider taking their own lives, with male workers being 35% more likely to do so, in comparison with other professions.

The 2017 ICE-Costain Lecture on Health and Safety will focus on mental health in the industry and what organisations can proactively do to address the issue.
