Overview
According to the recent Royal Society report, digital technologies could reduce carbon emissions by nearly a third by 2050.
During the first in a series of West Midlands Chair's Programme events, Rachel Skinner, ICE President, will join a panel of experts from the region as they debate how digital delivery of infrastructure can help enable Net Zero.
From smart meters to super-computers, from new Building Information Modelling (BIM) programmes to artificial intelligence (AI), the panellists will look at new technologies and discuss how using these in infrastructure will help deliver Net Zero. The panel will also debate how the pandemic accelerated digital transformation and how this affects green transport.
During this panel debate, chaired by West Midlands Chair, Gbenga Oludotun, Rachel Skinner will summarise the key points of her President’s Address, as well as take part in the debate and Q&A session at the end.
