Overview
Chris Furneaux, Associate Director at Arup and a Chartered Civil Engineer with over 18 years’ experience in highway projects, will explain innovative intersections, which are implemented across the globe but not yet in the UK.
The alternative junction forms have been shown to be cheaper and easier to build, reduce congestion, improve safety and deliver overall benefits when adopted in other countries. The presentation will include case studies from Australia and practical examples of how they could be suited for the UK road network.
This will be a joint event with ICE Birmingham, Solihull & Black Country (BSBC) branch in association with Engineers Ireland GB Region.
