Overview
Infrastructure is vital. Engineers build assets that help stimulate economic growth, improve health and life expectancy and protect communities from the effects of extreme weather and climate change. But why do so many key infrastructure projects and programme go over budget or schedule?
ICE Fellow Miles Ashley will share the policy paper which explored the reasons behind these damaging cost and schedule overruns. This is a great opportunity to understand some of the influential policy work undertaken by ICE members. This particular paper was presented to a Parliamentary Select Committee and heavily influenced their report output on Major Projects.
