Overview

National Women in Engineering Day is an annual event dedicated to raising the profile and celebrating the achievements of women in engineering.

ICE Wales Cymru and CIWM are organising an evening lecture where women in senior positions will give presentations on wind energy, waste management and nuclear energy.

Julie James AM Deputy Minister for Skills and Technology - will give the keynote speech.

Helen Peake is the Senior EIA Project Manager at Arup in Cardiff She specialises in energy generation, transmission and distribution, strategic planning and associated major infrastructure projects.

Professor Karen Holford -  Pro Vice-Chancellor, College of Physical Sciences & Engineering, Cardiff University, who will be talking about: “Damage assessment of engineering structures.

Milica Kitson is the Chief Executive of Constructing Excellence in Wales.
