Overview

The Emerging Engineers Award (Brennan Cup in NI) is a competition open to ICE Graduate and Student members. Applicants submit and present their paper which may be on any topic related to civil engineering. The competition gives applicants an opportunity to highlight their technical expertise as well as showcase their communication skills.

We are seeking to provide a balanced and comfortable environment for this event, given that it will be our first partially in-person activity since the beginning of the pandemic. Audience members in the room will be strictly limited in number but if you would like to join the hybrid event online, we would be delighted. Please book your online viewing place using the button above.

We anticipate that the three NI finalists will present their papers in person to the judging panel, with their presentations broadcast online for the remote audience.

Heat winners from all regions are further shortlisted to three finalists who will present their papers again at the Emerging Engineers Award International Final in Autumn 2022, which will decide the overall ICE Emerging Engineer 2022.
