The development and deployment of Connected and Autonomous Vehicles (CAV) has the potential to bring transformative change to people’s lives, not just in how we travel, but in how we work, where we live, the environment, and safety.
The Scottish Government has set ambitious Programme for Government commitments for Scotland to be at the forefront of developments in CAV, offering high quality test and demonstrator opportunities to developers and industry.
The presentation will describe how Transport Scotland is supporting these commitments through the CAV Scotland summits, the publication of A CAV Roadmap for Scotland, and the Project CAVForth autonomous bus trial, scheduled to be operational between Fife and Edinburgh later in 2021.
