What’s the best way to get across how an engineering concept works in the most interesting and captivating way? Pitch 200 of course!

What is Pitch 200?

Pitch 200 is a competition that asks civil engineers to present an engineering project or concept in a fun and interesting way. With just 200 seconds to get their point across and by using all manners of props and ideas - it’s sure to be entertaining. The event showcases the diverse impact that engineering has on every aspect of modern society and educates the general public on what civil engineers do in their jobs in an entertaining style. After each presentation, there will be opportunity for a short Q&A session from our judges and audience members.

The competition will now be judged online as a joint event between North East and Yorkshire and Humber and the winner(s) will then have the chance to progress further in the competition.

This event also presents an excellent opportunity for online networking and to gain a new perspective on civil engineering. Please join us on 27 May 2020 at 13.00 for some action-packed informative entertainment at the regional heats.

Interested in attending?

Audience members are invited to attend the joint regional heat with North East and Yorkshire and Humber online to support the applicants. The competition will involve the applicants presenting their subjects and being judged online with a chance for a Q&A from the audience – so join us to participate in an exciting competition on some fascinating subjects!
