Overview
Presented by:
- Brian Songhurst, Oxford Institute for Energy Studies, Visiting Research Associate
- Chris Rasiah, Genesis Oil & Gas, Senior Process Consultant
Process Engineering is design of the process scheme that enables the other disciplines to complete their engineering on a project.
Process engineering typically comprises 3 phases on a project – feasibility studies, conceptual design and detailed design. This talk will describe the various methods used to perform process engineering, describe the deliverables and the interfaces with other engineering disciplines.
The talk will summarise the broader aspects of oil and gas process engineering but focus on offshore projects and the main differences when compared to similar onshore projects.
Refreshments will be served from 17:30.
