Overview
This lecture focuses on a specific project as a case study demonstrating a Concession Agreement. This is when a private company (special purpose vehicle SPV) comes to an agreement with the Public entity in order to provide a public service against a long-term exploitation and remuneration.
It covers the various stages of the design and construction process and then includes the structural Maintenance, Access Means, Data Management, Monitoring Overview and Regular/Heavy Maintenance.
Finally Dr Papanikolas explains how the bridge has coped with various events including an earthquake and a wind storm.
