Harry Saroglou MSc, DIC, PhD
Harry Saroglou is a geotechnical expert advisor on High Speed 2 for Eiffage Kier Ferrovial BAM JV for High Speed 2. He teaches in the School of Civil Engineering, National Technical University of Athens, and is an honorary visiting lecturer in the School of Earth Sciences, University of Leeds. He was previously a lecturer in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Imperial College, London. He has almost 25 years of experience in engineering geology and geotechnical engineering and has consulted for civil engineering (highways, railways, dams) and mining projects in Europe, Asia, Canada, and Australia.
He has received prestigious awards from the International Association for Engineering Geology and the Environment (Richard Wolters, 2012), the Chinese Academy of Sciences (PIFI, 2016), and the Academy of Athens (2009). He is a member of the editorial boards of Géotechnique Letters, Quarterly Journal of Engineering Geology, and Bulletin of Engineering Geology and the Environment. His expertise areas include ground interpretation, geotechnical design, slope stability, tunneling, engineering geology in major infrastructure works, and mitigation of geohazards.
