This event will showcase projects and experiences from four rail early career professionals, covering civil engineering, geotechnics, permanent way and gauging technical disciplines.

The speakers will present on subjects such as, rail infrastructure design, highlighting the importance of understanding the relationship between vehicles and infrastructure as well as safety aspects within railway.
This will include a valuable networking opportunity for those with an interest in rail infrastructure after the presentation.

Tom is a project engineer at the gauging consultancy company D/Gauge. Following his graduation from Oxford University in 2016 he completed the Civil Engineering Graduate Scheme at Balfour Beatty where he worked within the Gauging Team. Tom now works for D/Gauge where his focus is on vehicle dynamics, light rail gauging and pantograph gauging.
