Overview

A get together to create a network of EngTech or equivalent level colleagues across the region.  The aim of the forum is to discuss, debate or listen to friends and associates, expanding shared knowledge, expertise and experience with each other.

This will be a regular, informal, coming together to grow working friendships.

The event will be presented by Peter Burns, a Designer/Technician working in the Buildings group at Arup and Victoria Shattock, a Technician within the structures team at Arup.

I have been involved in design, master planning, information production for over 35 years, the early years having an architectural bias and now for over 25 years working in an engineering environment combining planning, architectural and structural disciplines. I have worked on a huge variety of projects including aircraft maintenance hangars, football stadia, retail complexes and building refurbishments.

Victoria Shattock

Victoria spent the early part of her career working for steelwork fabricator’s as a detailer before moving into engineering consultancy, joining Arup in 2013. She became a Technician member of ICE in 2014.

She has worked on a wide variety of building projects across the UK and recently spent eight months in Hong Kong working on large sports stadium development. In 2019 she studied a Post Graduate Certificate in BIM Management. Victoria is a member of EMSC elected 2021-2022.
