Overview
Join us for a long awaited event on the robustness (or otherwise) of transport modelling and forecasting. Four speakers will present their ideas for improving confidence and transparency in this area which has such a major influence on both public and private expenditure on transport.
The audience is invited to come prepared to challenge the panel and to discuss practical reforms, however radical.
Do transport planners rely too heavily on transport models?
Are we always honest and transparent about the strengths and limitations of the forecasting methods we use?
How can we restore confidence in transport modelling and forecasting among clients, stakeholders and the public?
