Overview
The Thames Valley Graduates, Students and Apprentices Committee are proud to present a virtual site visit, delivered by Owen Hopkins, a site engineer for SCS Railways filmed at the Greenpark Way Ventilation shaft site forming part of the S2 lot of HS2.
Owen is a Site Engineer for STRABAG UK, currently working on the Green Park Vent Shaft, which forms part of the S2 lot of HS2, being delivered by SCS Railways a Joint Venture between Skanska/Costain/STRABAG. After graduating from the University of Plymouth in 2018, Owen joined BAM Nuttall and worked on the Hinkley Point C project and Oxted Viaduct refurbishment project for 2 years, before joining STRABAG/SCS as a site engineer.
Owen has developed his skills working on site since graduating from University and will be sharing his experiences of being a site engineer and the challenges he has faced during his career, and showing us details of the Greenpark Way Ventilation Shaft site.
