Spending a year in industry is an exciting and important time for a civil engineering student, but what is it like?

This event will be an opportunity to gain insight into what to expect from your year in industry and have questions answered from the students’ perspectives.

Attendees will hear talks from two students who have completed a year in industry: one from a design perspective, the other from a construction perspective. There will be an opportunity to ask questions to a panel of students who have completed or are currently working their years in industry, along with a professional involved in the recruitment process.

This session is chaired by Abbie Stallard, University of Bristol student representative for Graduate, Student and Apprentice Committee (Bristol & Bath). The speakers are Indra Peachy and Rhys Phillips, University of Bath. The panelists are Indra Peachy, Rhys Phillips, University of Bath, Miyu Kudo, University of Bristol and Duncan Overy, ARUP Bristol.
