Overview
Join us for our annual Apprentice and Technician's welcome evening! The theme of this year’s National Apprenticeship Week is skills for life and we would like to invite all current and aspiring apprentices and technicians to learn how the apprenticeship route can help develop key skills that can be used throughout their career and life.
Attendees will learn about the skills that can be developed and implemented in an apprenticeship from a panel of speakers which is made up of current apprentices and an industry professional, who will discuss and reflect on their own experiences. There will also be a chance for attendees to ask the panel questions so that they can answer more specific questions. Attendees will be able to implement the skills they learnt in the panel by taking part in a group task after the Q&A segment of the panel.
For the group task attendees will be split into groups that will be given different civil engineering briefs. Each group will work together to fulfil and satisfy the client’s needs whilst thinking about the practicality and sustainability of their final solution.
Catering will be provided.
