Overview
Join the ICE West Midlands Birmingham, Solihull and Black Country Branch (BSBC) for a tour of the Lapworth Museum of Geology.
The Lapworth Museum of geology holds an extensive collection of fossils, minerals and rocks, dating back to the 1880 and after a £2.7m redevelopment the museum has reopened. This is a geological museum run by the University of Birmingham and located on the University's campus in Edgbaston.
Throughout its long history the Lapworth Museum has provided a valuable resource for students, schools and colleges, research workers, enthusiasts and anyone with an interest in geology. The museum supports teaching and research in the Earth Sciences and natural history within the University and the West Midlands region.
This event is a great opportunity for those wishing to learn about fossils, artifacts and dinosaurs.
