Devon County Council is working with Teignbridge District Council to manage the design and construction of a new bridge and link road west of the A379 as part of the Dawlish Housing Infrastructure Fund (HIF) scheme.
The project will provide direct access to more than 400 new homes at Secmaton Farm and Swan Park in Dawlish.
It will also facilitate access to approximately 400 additional homes at Gatehouse Farm, including construction access.

Dale Jenner is an engineer with Devon County Council and was the delegated NEC 4 project manager / supervisor for the project. He has been with Devon County Council since 2019 and has been involved in the scheme since 2022.

Andy Matthews is a chartered structural engineer working for WSP with over 30 year’s experience in the design of bridges (British Standards and Eurocodes). He likes to thinks he has a good balance of theoretical structural behaviour and practical construction techniques. Andy was the design lead for the new bridge.
