Overview

Discover the design and construction processes for a 57-metre cable-stayed bridge featuring a concrete–steel composite deck, reinforced concrete A-frame pylons, strands with clevis anchorages, stay cables, and cruciform steel anchor heads. The architecturally driven bridge is intended to serve as a new landmark and major attraction in Kuching. The design emphasises the integration of advanced structural components to enhance performance and durability under dynamic loads. The construction methodology, phased implementation, and challenges encountered during the bridge’s assembly are also discussed.
