Overview
We're already halfway through the year! Have you used your volunteering hours yet? If not, this Fairness, Inclusion, and Respect action group event is your opportunity to give back.
This day is all about promoting social value, encouraging the use of volunteering hours, and creating meaningful connections through fulfilling work.
Join us for a hands-on gardening session at Disability North, where we’ll support the charity with various outdoor tasks.
Lunch will be provided on the day for any volunteers.
Tasks may include:
- Installing a water butt
- Digging and preparing garden beds
- Planting flowers and greenery
- Painting raised beds, fences, and the garden shed
- Watering plants
- Trimming hedges
What to bring:
- Suitable outdoor clothing for gardening
- Optional - Gardening gloves and any personal tools or equipment you prefer to use
- Optional – if you have any gardening tools, equipment, decorative ornaments, etc. that you’d like to donate to the charity garden you can bring them and show them to the charity to see if they will be suitable for the space.
Let’s come together, give back to the community, and make a real difference, one garden at a time.
