Overview
The Central Kowloon Route (“CKR”) is a dual three-lane carriageway with a total length of about 4.7km, linking Yau Ma Tei Interchange of West Kowloon with Kai Tak Development Area and road network of Kowloon Bay, significantly reducing the travelling time in between from about thirty minutes to five minutes during peak hours.
It will connect the future Trunk Road T2 and the Tseung Kwan O - Lam Tin Tunnel to form a strategic route between West Kowloon and Tseung Kwan O, namely Route 6.
Being one of the eight main contracts of CKR, Kai Tak East contract (Contract No. HY/2018/02), mainly comprises the construction of an approximately 700-metre long CKR main line in Kai Tak, the construction of the Kai Tak Interchange including bridges, underpasses and associated at-grade slip roads connecting the CKR with the existing road network.

Safety training certificates and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
Participants shall bring with them their safety training certificate (“Green card”) on the day of visit. The certificate shall be issued by recognised authorities and be valid on the day of the visit.
Participants shall be dressed in long trousers and shall bring their own Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), which shall include a pair of safety boots, a reflective vest and a safety helmet with chin strap.
Attendees who fail to comply with the above requirements may be refused entry to the site area.
Notes
- Registration will be confirmed on a first-come-first-served basis, with priority given to ICE Members.
- Only successful applicants will be notified.
- The event will be conducted primarily in Cantonese, and English terms will be introduced where appropriate.
- Attendance certificates will be provided within two weeks of the event only if attendees participate for the entire duration of the event.
- Applicants with no-show records will be given lower priority in future ICEHKA events.

Adverse weather arrangement
The event will be cancelled or rescheduled to another date in the case of a red or black rainstorm signal, or typhoon signal no. 3 or above is issued by the Hong Kong Observatory at or after 06.30. The organiser reserves the right to cancel or reschedule the event in view of safety or other considerations.

- Introduction of CKR Connectivity
- Introduction of bridge construction over Kai Tak river
Location 3 – Smart Site Management Hub (SSMH)
- Overview of CKR Digitalisation & Innovation (i.e. BIM, DWSS/iDWSS, SSMH)
- Demonstration of CKR centralized management platform – SSMH (SSMH integrate various types of IoTs, sub-systems, big data, CCTVs, BIM, photogrammetry, for team members to instantly obtain site information, and facilitate construction management and site safety monitoring.)
