CLP Pulse, the revitalised clock tower that was part of CLP's Head Office from 1940 to 2012, stands as a symbol of the company's steadfast service that has driven Hong Kong's modernity. Regarded as an iconic landmark and a collective memory of the community, it was designated as Grade 1 historic building in 2018. Since then, the clock tower has been transformed into a cultural hub featuring multimedia and interactive exhibitions, creative programmes, and activities for public enjoyment. Additionally, it houses the permanent headquarters of The Hong Kong Heritage Project, a non-profit organisation founded by Sir Michael Kadoorie to preserve history and promote heritage awareness in Hong Kong.
Through this co-organised visit with ACEHK YMC, participants can immerse themselves in the rich history and innovation of CLP through the ElectriCity exhibit, learning about the company's journey of resilience and reliable power supply in Hong Kong via interactive multimedia experiences. The ‘Our Home · Our History’ exhibition explores the impactful stories of the Kadoorie businesses and charitable endeavors that contributed to Hong Kong's post-war rehabilitation and prosperity. Meanwhile, the ‘Traces of Human Touch’ exhibition highlights the unique intangible cultural heritage of Hong Kong, emphasising traditional Chinese craftsmanship and showcasing the creative adaptations made by new generation artists, blending tradition with innovation.
