This webinar aims to explore the transformative impact of AI on water and wastewater management. Through integrating AI technology with a digital twin platform, treatment operations could be optimised through data collected from sensors to achieve predictive control and automation. With a view to achieve improved compliance, cost reduction as well as operational processes, AI technology could be applied in transportation of fluids, treatment processes, sludge handling, as well as asset management. Participants would be able to better appreciate the motivation behind adoption AI in water and wastewater, including how it is a key to unlocking new possibilities with smarter, more sustainable water and wastewater systems.
To better prepare Graduate and Student Members of the Institution of Civil Engineers for the communication tasks in the Chartership Professional Review (CPR), a workshop will follow the webinar where themes including water and sanitation, asset management and digital and data will be explored. The workshop will feature a breakout-room discussion where participants may discuss takeaways from the webinar and work on a sample Communication Task question. This is followed by a group session with a wrap up on the point to note in tackling the Communication Task.
