HKICW
HKICW comprises members employed by works owners to superintend construction works so as to ensure proper use of labour and materials.
Event organised by ICE
A highlight of the visit is the ‘automated welding robots’, capable of welding all grades of steel, including novel high strength S690 steel. From welding stiffener plates onto I-beams, to producing I-beams from plates, and eventually producing long-span steel structures, the robotic solutions at the centre is a showcase of the possibilities in automatic welding.
With a focus on enhancing efficiency and productivity, the facility offers the participants a glimpse into the future of welding technology. Upon the backdrop of an increasing demand for high strength steel structures, the visit allows participants to witness how welding speed can be elevated by automation, with the quality of welds meeting or even exceeding industry standards.
Alongside automatic welding, MiMEP and MiC solutions will also be introduced during the visit.
