Overview
Join the ICE Early Careers Network East Midlands for a visit to the Bardon Hill Quarry located in Leicestershire.
Bardon Hill Quarry is one of the largest quarries in the country, producing granite for use in construction in the UK. This quarry has been operational for over 400 years and produces 3m tonnes of rock a year.
This visit will provide greater understanding of the material supply chain.
The following PPE is required for access to the site:
- Hard hat
- Long-sleeve his-vis top
- Hi-vis trousers
- Glasses
- Gloves
- Safety Boots
Please note: you will need to bring your own PPE as this will not be provided.
