Join the ICE Early Careers Network West Midlands for an evening of knowledge sharing! 

Are you a graduate, student or apprentice and wondered what the different aspects of Civil Engineering?

This session will consist of presentations from three different sectors of civil engineering, talking about what their day-to-day looks like, this will include dam engineering, geotecnical engineering and a variety of projects including highways, drainage, flood risk (both residential and commercial). 

Speakers will include:

  • Niall Allen, project leader in the dams and reservoirs team at Mott MacDonald 
  • Gavin Sealey, principal geotechnical engineer at Link Engineering
  • Ben Latcham, senior civil engineer at Link Engineering

This is a great opportunity for those who would like to learn more about the different sectors of Civil Engineering.

Gavin is a principal geotechnical engineer heading up the geotechnics team at Link Engineering. Gavin has a wealth of experience throughout ground engineering with projects of all sizes, particularly earthworks, foundations, retaining walls, and ground investigation, with a keen eye for value engineering solutions.
