Overview

The talk will cover the role of the Public Works Department (JKR) in Malaysia, focusing on their responsibilities in constructing and maintaining public infrastructure and government buildings. It will highlight JKR's initiatives under the Malaysia RMK-12 (2020–2025) plan, including the development and application of Pre-Approved Plans (PAP) for building design. The presentation will also discuss the standards and regulations these designs adhere to, such as the CIDB Industrialised Building System (IBS) and sustainable design features.

Adam's career includes notable roles, such as a tunnel site engineer for the MRT2 project and an infrastructure design engineer for the LRT project. As a civil engineer at the Malaysian Public Works Department (JKR), he focuses on projects in the educational, residential, and healthcare sectors, accumulating substantial experience in government building initiatives.

Adam is responsible for managing technical specifications, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and collaborating with various stakeholders to achieve project objectives.
