Overview

The Salisbury River Park scheme has been undertaken to reduce the flood risk to existing homes and businesses in the area, create wildlife corridors and improve biodiversity, improved recreational and amenity value of the area and enabling regeneration of key development sites in the area.

It has been a challenging construction project, with particular difficulties related to the weather, ground conditions and inflation, but it is due to complete only a couple of months behind schedule.

The tour will include an overview of the project, highlighting key design and construction aspects and outline the aims and objectives. There will also be time for questions.

Free parking for up to three hours is available at the Waitrose car park (postcode SP2 7TS) or at the Central Long Stay pay and display car park (postcode SP1 3SL). The meeting point will be at the toilet block at the southern end of this car park near Sainsburys.

No PPE is required. Everyone is welcome.
